Ubuntu Pledge is currently delivering a 12-week digital empowerment programme at Worlds End Estate in partnership with Big Local, supported by funding from CLLL and NHS North West London. The project is designed to help residents gain foundational digital skills for life and work, while also supporting health inclusion through NHS App training.
A key component of the programme is the extensive use of the Learn My Way platform, developed by the Good Things Foundation, to provide residents with structured and accessible online learning pathways that extend beyond the classroom.
Now in its 8th week, the programme has been met with strong engagement, with 10 residents attending regularly and showing marked progress. Ubuntu Pledge developed a blended training approach, combining hands-on group learning with guided self-paced lessons through Learn My Way.
✅ 6 residents consistently engaged, with increasing digital confidence
✅ Learners are actively using the NHS App and accessing essential health services
✅ All participants registered on Learn My Way, continuing their learning beyond the classroom
✅ Residents report greater independence in managing day-to-day digital tasks
✅ Created a scalable model for estate-based digital inclusion initiatives
With four weeks remaining, Ubuntu Pledge will continue to guide learners through more advanced digital tasks, deepen engagement with the NHS App, and support independent learning through Learn My Way.
The success of this model has already sparked interest in further sessions focused on employment readiness, online safety, and ongoing digital confidence. Ubuntu Pledge is exploring continued partnerships with Big Local, the NHS, and the Good Things Foundation to scale and sustain this impact across other estates.
